Anybody Up For An Expat Scientology Coffee Morning?

My life has been immensely enriched by Scientology mentors, colleagues and friends, and any discrimination, persecution and mockery of Scientologists on this site is unacceptable. You should be ashamed of such bigotry.

Our Scientology event is almost sold out with only a few tickets left.

MM

Since there has been no link provided to an external site, the only way it seem to be able to "buy" a ticket is by using the PM feature of this website.

In that case, the Admin (who has the power to read personal messages) would be able to see if any members have made a commitment to attend the coffee chat and, without revealing any names, could verify or contradict this claim.

Members only have the power to mock here. Religious discrimination and persecution are simply not possible in a forum like this, though the Admin can remove any post or terminate any membership at will.

I'm 100% in favor of free speech, but I'm 100% against fraudsters who make claims for things they cannot guarantee in order to scam others.

They're the ones who should be ashamed. Unfortunately, they rarely are.

And they take the moral high ground to boot!

They deserve a swift kick from the big boot in the sky...if only there was one.

PS: Some"believers" might argue that atheists are prejudiced against all religions, and they might be right, but that doesn't make them bigots, it makes them rational thinkers.

The only thing that stands between a person and what they want from life is often merely the will to try it and the faith to believe that it is possible.

You don't have a soul, you are your own soul. In other words, you are not this book, your social security card, your body, your mind. You are you.

You too can be a millionaire and live the life of your dreams.

You can call me a punctuation fanatic if you wish, but not using quotation marks in a post gives the appearance of plagiarism.

"The only thing that stands between a person and what they want from life is often merely the will to try it and the faith to believe that it is possible. "

A google search attributes this quote to several individuals,.

"You don't have a soul, you are your own soul. In other words, you are not this book, your social security card, your body, your mind. You are you."

A google search attributes this quote to L. Ron Hubbard

"You too can be a millionaire and live the life of your dreams."

This one didn't come up in a google search as a notable quote so it's all yours. It sound more like something you'd find in a multi-level marketing meting than in any church.

Here's one I made up:

You too can be a millionaire if you join the church of scientology.

Included in the first page of the google search:

Why Tom Cruise and John Travolta can't leave Scientology

Note that the rules of attendance, as defined by MM above, are:
  • Commit to the seminar and pay the $8000 (to whom and how is left undefined);
  • After doing that, you'll be told where and when the event will be held - and since you now hold the ticket, too bad if you're not in town that day.
One member has said publicly that he expressed interest and received no feedback. No surprise there. No event, no feedback.

It's been entertaining, I do admit. Wish I could lay off these frauds, but ...sigh... I'm an engineer and am compelled to try to fix things that are broken. Now, after exposing him as a liar and fraud I'm retiring from this subject and hoping some sunlight reaches mom's basement to get him out into the fresh air once in a while. Most people on this forum try to be kind, and lend the benefit of the doubt to even the flakiest characters, but there are limits to good will.

I hope I can keep the pledge. We'll see - in the face of a completely new outrage, who knows?

As it happens I will be in Puerto Madero on the same day of the meeting.

Can you let me know if the meeting is in the morning or in the afternoon.

I could pop in and check and report to my fellow posters if there really is a meeting taking place. That way you can prove to everyone that you are genuine.

Become the person you really could become for only $7999 pesos. Your potential is without limitations.

Do the scientologists know that you are offering the complete Services of Scientology for only $7,999 pesos? Many people I've heard have spent tens of thousands and still have not reached their potential through Scientology. What a bargain!

I never heard of this [background=rgb(252, 252, 252)]Miscavige character. So I googled him. According to Google he is a High School drop out. Took control of the Church after the passing of L.Ron. He [/background][background=rgb(252, 252, 252)]was sued by L.R. H. biological son for control of the church but lost. He named several direct family members to top church position. His wife hasn't been seen in 10 years and his mother in law was found dead with three shots to the chest and one to the head. The LAPD ruled it a suicide. (!!!)[/background]

His father wrote a tell all book on his own son. https://en.wikipedia...scavige,_and_Me

Doesn't sound like a church to me. More like a criminal enterprise.

The intolerance of religious freedom on this forum by some posters gives the wrong view about Scientology. Some achievements of Scientology are free for everybody to see for themselves. Live and let live. Does anybody seriously think that the likes of Tom Cruise and John Travolta are scammers?

Implicit in the Scientology worldview is a mandate to employ the truths of Scientology to uplift Mankind. Consequently, as Scientology grows, so too the humanitarian programs Scientologists support.
Those programs include:
  • The world’s largest nongovernmental anti drug campaign, reaching tens of millions of at-risk youth each year;
  • The establishment of drug rehab centres in more than 40 nations;
  • The world’s largest nongovernmental human rights public information campaign, broadly promoting the 30 Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
  • Global education programs bringing the gift of literacy to tens of millions of students in America, Europe, Asia and Africa;
  • A way to happiness movement spanning 135 nations, uplifting populations and restoring the brotherhood of Man.
  • The scientology volunteer minister program bringing emergency relief to more than 10 million people at every major disaster site through the last twenty years.
In conclusion,the Church of Scientology and Scientologists work in alignment with the Aims of Scientology and the dream of a “civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where Man is free to rise to greater heights.

Assuming that the likes of Tom Cruise and John Travolta are emotionally better off than anyone else in the world is folly. In fact, I spent a couple of years doing production assistant work in the film industry, and it is my experience that actors are far worse off than the general populace. The sycophants in the church appeal to their neediness and desire for attention. There used to be a great section in a poplar monthly magazine called When Celebrities Think - it was filled with the stupid, inane things that actors, musicians, etc did and said.

And, if Scientology wants a world without criminals, they'd do well to start within their own organization - right at the top.

BTW all, MM did specify in an earlier message that the meeting was scheduled for 15 July at the Faena.

.BTW all, MM did specify in an earlier message that the meeting was scheduled for 15 July at the Faena.

Actually, he didn't. What he said was:

"We are tentatively planning this event for Wednesday July 15th at the luxurious Faena hotel in Puerto Madero. Entrance will be strictly controlled and tickets are priced to sell at $7999 pesos each. This includes a free one to one auditing session in Spanish or English."

It never got past that "tentatively" in spite of many people asking where and when, so, according to his words, it was never "scheduled."
