Probably cheaper to buy a roundtrip ticket to Iguazu and buy it in Ciudad del Este. Electronics there are even cheaper than in the US and you can do it as a daytrip

Even cheaper, take an overnight bus, probably 90k Pesos each way. It would be a nice weekend trip.

Aduanas will be fine with just one laptop, obviously you’ll want to unbox it and create your user login to be on the safe side.
