Argentina's President Cristina Kirchner has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer

It turns out that CK didn't have cancer after all, which must come as a huge relief to her and her family.
So, was this operation purely precautionary?
Why was the initial diagnosis positive?

Yes, mission accomplished....and topped off with a nip/tuck.

With her thyroid removed, she'll have to spend the rest of her life on HRT drugs (correct if wrong) to prevent fatigue, which she suffers from anyway.
She may not be popular with many, but your health is your most valuable asset.

Yes..and this fiasco speaks volumes about the state of medical professionalism in Argentina.
You are left to conclude that either medical opinion can be purcha$ed or that the Docs were too incompetent for jumping the gun on the initial mis-diagnosis.

As Lee has posted...why not a second opinion? Or why didn't they just wait until the final results before going public? I guess the political greed & incentive to distract & win sympathy votes was just too great.

As can be seen on this very thread...she's certainly managed to pull the wool over some of the poster's eyes here too ...not to mention any names....in Oz we call it "egg in your face"...."Conspiracy"? ja ja ja ja...well maybe not the CIA this time round...more like Casa rosada's.
