I came across this interesting article 'Husband of President Cristina Kircher 'controls' Argentina' http://tinyurl.com/34p2hha'

Since being here I haven't really followed Argentine politics, mainly because of the language issue. What do you think of this? Certainly makes sense.

Whether this is true or not -- who knows. But, if you're going to live here for some time you absolutely must follow the politics here - it determines every day living in Argentina. If you can't speak spanish, make sure you get the 'Buenos Aires Herald' because it will at least give you the status of Arg in English. Every day life in Argentina changes due to the politics and the antics of the politicians. I'm not an expert but after 4 years here - I wait for every new decision of the politicians for the next step..............which is...who knows (nobody knows)

Do you think The Australian would write an article about what a socialist and Muslim Obama is after reading a book on that subject?
Don't believe in anything you read on the Internet, especially not when it's about a controversial topic like this.

Nonsense, Obama controls Argentina....

...well, actually the ones who control Obama

The article sounds pretty accurate to me. The next year should be very interesting, we'll see what lengths these two will go to stay in power.

Is there anyone without some skeletons in their closet? Most politicians are dishonest no matter what party and what country Argentina is no different to USA, Japan, and most of the western world.

I follow drips and drabs. I got bored of the herald and it takes me far to long to read Clarin and LaN. It is only a matter of time before it comes easier... There has been many 'dramas' under CfK which has been interesting. Strangely I seem to side with the government despite being completely against them. At university I studied communication so it has killed me not being able to follow the press battles more.
