Argentine Citizenship Requirements

To the OP, may I borrow your thread and ask a question here to the forum. When I enter as tourist in near future, what is the process to apply for a temporary residence, once there .? Is there such thing as temp or permanent residency? Do I have to get an Argentinean Social Security number or a cedula de identidad prior to applying for the above mentioned paragraph? Anyone has gone through the process as How to...Please advise, much obliged !

You haven't set foot in Argentina yet, so first you should visit and see if you like the city. You are putting the cart before the horse.

Not really, I intend to apply for residency in both Chile and Argentina then if both granted then I will choose which one best for me! Nothing wrong to ask even before my arrival, can do multi-tasking at a time. Therefore asked permission to OP for my barging in here to lay the question. I wasn't thinking of a horse drawn cart but more like, the Jinriki - Sha..

Well, Hybrid you are not even here yet? Well my father always told me, more you think more you will be doubtful in decision making. Well anyways good luck, as far as I know you can not apply for residency out side of the country you have to be in country to apply for the residency.
So my advice is visit here CITIZENSHIP is too far for you.

please dont take it badly. Their are 100's of "residency" threads. Just perform a search and spend a day reading all the information. You will get everything you need.

You have to be in the country first and justify residency. You're pumping the forum members for information. If you know how to "multi-task," then do some searching on for forum before asking so many questions that are already answered. You are changing the topic of this thread. You won't be traveling here for a long time so while you're recovering from foot surgery, you'll have plenty of time to sit in front of the computer and search for information on this forum.

I see, in this forum page writing format there is no "post link" function?, in order to facilitate the search. Well, don t you also want a foot masage? Go an pay a lawyer for a consultation or, if you want it for free, make a minimum effort like google the immigration website if you dont like the search tools of the forum.
