Japan will eventually have to disavow that post-war constitution and re-arm with domestically manufactured systems. Toshiba could make helicopter gunships as well as laptop computers, and Japan's shipbuilding industry could manage well enough. The technology is there, and the manufacturing base is there. Now the question is, do the Japanese people have the collective will?
