So, I've done cash pick-up successfully from the Corrientes 2400 address (Cerrito and Florida don't work) but can I transfer to my Argentine bank account at the good rate? It says I can but has anyone done this or will I have to be the guinea pig?

Has anyone successfully XOOMed to their Arg bank account? I guess that would be the same thing.

2GuysinPM, do you have to go down to any office to present paperwork or is it totally painless and all done over net?

Forgot to ask, Azimo requests the bank account number, but I presume they need the CBU too? What info does Xoom request? Thanks!

I never had to leave home. Xoom and/or More (their local agent) will email you the paperwork after they get a hold of you over the phone. Then you fill out the forms and email them back to them, and they deposit the money into your account. The process can take a few days to a week from sending the money via xoom.com to getting it deposited on your account.

Xoom asks for bank account number, which is what I've always given. Thought at least someone else here had better luck providing a CBU number. I don't know it makes much difference, as it appears they just send someone from More to a physical branch of your bank to make the deposit at the teller window.

Well, I sent myself a small amount, and it only took a few hours to reach my argentine account at a rate of 12 something! Amazing or what! Just hoping that it's not too much of a grey area. It says "pago autoservicio" on my statement. How much of a gray area is this? Will I be sent to the tower?

Hmmm, this all sounds insanely good. Do you have the name of the place you collected the money from in Corrientes? I'm on the verge of trying out some smaller payments.
