Azimo

I just made a transfer and requested a pick on on Lavalle. When i got there they redirected me to a different location on Cordoba, just 3 blocks over 3 blocks up so not an inconvenience. It wasn't a close door policy there, the security guard gave me the form to fill in, and it took 10-15 mins in total, and it was all quite pleasant.

Had trouble with the new payout place, Latin Express. First it was closed on Sat morning (no info on their website about hours), the second time had to fill in form and didn't have benefactor's full details to hand. The third time they said the name on passport didn't coincide with the name on their system. Azimo only ask for first name and surname but you need to put middle names in too otherwise they won't release as it doesn't match passport! Pain in the ass and each time a one hour wait as it was packed with Peruvians. Shame they won't use Argenper but they told me they get a better rate with these people. I'd rather forfeit the better rate, 4 trips and 5 or 6 hours wasted getting the money....

Well, I had a bit of a weird one with Azimo as well, as the rate on the website when you estimate the amount you'll receive on their calculator and the rate I was given when I finalised the payment were about one peso out. 14.23 and 13.29 respectively.

They reckon it's the type of service/amount etc (which I guess is probably true), however the rate I received last week from them matched the rate on the calculator, so I dunno.

Anyway, other than that they have been top notch, so I'm not complaining, really!

my latest transfer was supposed to be at Argenper corrientes 3800, but when i got there (at 11am) they said they wouldn't have enough money to pay me until about 2pm. It was about 6000pesos
I was told I could call back then or go to the Argenper on Corrientes 2400, which i ended up doing as i wasn't arsed using up the afternoon part of my day.
The 2400 one seems bigger and busier, so keep in mind if you want to do an early pickup.

Good advice. The 2400 one is the central office, so that's where I always go as well. Better to avoid the hassles of the smaller ones.

They also seem to have gotten their act together somewhat with a security guard and a slightly more refined queuing system.

Also, 2 other pieces of advice...

1. Bring a photocopy of your passport with you. I didn't have to the first time i went a few months ago, but its now required.
2. My middle name wasn't on the transfer, and the guy said that the next time it will have to be, so it matches my passport exactly.

I have collected 3 times now (2 from central office 2451 Corrientes and 1 from office in Liniers) and you need a copy of your passport/dni each and every time. Always been paid exactly the rate I received online. Liniers doesn't pay out until after 12pm as they don't keep much cash in the morning. Office in Corrientes is a bit shabby and the whole security setup is a bit lax imo but at the moment all in all the service is very good.

I was about to get a transfer last week, checked the rates, and they were good.

Went to the site today and Argentina seems to have disappeared off this list of available countries.
Anyone hear, or know anything about this?

I had the same problem. I just emailed them and had this response:

I apologise for the situation. This is not a permanent thing, our partner's system is down at the moment, this is the reason why this happened. They are working to fix it, and they informed us it will be working again by tomorrow morning.
Thanks, Azimo team
