Hybrid-san was just talking about Asian racism and neither Japan nor Korea is mentioned in this poll. Not even Asia nor Africa is offered as an option (although Americas and Europe is). Do I detect a hint of white centric racism in this poll.

And I thought I was the King of Political Incorrectness....

Joe...

I gave this option. Granted I should have said South Korea, Tunisia, Honduras or France. This option was meant for the ones not mentioned. There was a continental option for Europe and the Americas.

I think if the USA even gets out of that group, it will be a miracle. They have some tough players, but with the exception of the goalie, the defense is horrible and the strikers are mediocre. I see Ghana and Germany escaping that group.

Call me crazy, but I think Messi is going to lead Argentina to at least the Final. He is going to come with a big chip on his shoulder, and as long as Argentina can get the ball at his feet near the goal, he's going to make plays. Of course the big question is the defense, I even think the midfield will come together before it's all said and done. Can Argentina score enough goals? They need to score early and often if they want to be champs.

I don't see Brazil winning it, but then again, they are the luckiest soccer team ever. They have some decent talent, but they aren't as talented as some of the other upper echelon teams like Germany.

I think maybe the surprise team this time will be England. They haven't done anything in so long that I think they might make it to the semis or something like that. They always have good talent, but just never seem to be able to put it together. Maybe this time they will make a good run. An Argentina England match might be a fun one to watch (although not for your Brits here in Argentina he!).

It could definitely have been more inclusive of diverse global participants as there is and outside chances with the likes of japan, ivory coast and nigeria.I will put it down to internationalguy´s bias assesment of where potential winners are to come from than anything cynically racial.

Think it will be a Brazil v Argentina final, and Coutinho (all 1.7m of him) will score the winner for Brazil with a hand of god style goal.

Good shout from ejcot for Belgium

Thye came through a tough group and knocked out some of the up ancdcomimg teams from Europe.........

You seemed to have tipped Ghana in front of Portugal; quite brave considering the season Cristiano Ronaldo is having. But then again its the group of death so anything can happen.

I have already given my opinion about Argentina.Tournaments like the world cup tend to favour sides with great defensive ability and discipline regardless of how good your frontline is;The Argentine backline is not up to scratch.

Brazil will always be Brazil. Lets see how they handle the pressure of being hosts. They almost did not qualify for the world cup in 2002 and then ended up winners!

England imho will bottle it. We dont do well in foreign lands and the style needs to be more dynamic other than the fast wingers big striker approach. The likes of the young talent such as Ross Barkeley,Raheem Sterling,Daniel Sturidge and Alex Oxlaide-Camberlain might lead the way forward. I dont know how much impact they would make at this world cup though.

I have a gut feeling about Brazil if they can handle pressure of being the host nation and Germany if they can handle the tropical weather in certain parts of brazil.

By the way: we all know that Germany didn't win the last world cup just because of Paul the octopus. Fortunately, he died and thus the only remaining trustworthy prediction institution are the simpsons:

I already addressed your inquiry.
