So you'd vote for Berlusconi?

Not a direct analogy. I would vote for someone who puts his money where his mouth is. Macri seems to work REALLY hard in the city and has been getting constant attacks from K unions. I may be wrong and I have heard some people resent his background but as I said I don't know much of Argentine politics.

I was being semi-facetious. Somehow, though, Macri seems to set off some people's fireworks, though he can't come remotely close to Berlusconi's imperiousness.

Idealy I would vote Macri first, but I think it will have to be Lilita for 2015. This is solely cause she's always consistently fought corruption & stayed true to her word, all the way. Never wavered. She's also been rejected by almost all the political parties..this is a positive when you consider that 99% of the political class here are corrupt in some form or another, so being the 'ugly duckling' in the corridors of power here is a good thing. It means she didn't play by their rules. If she get's in, they'll have to build new jails to fill with all the rotten korruptos. She's not going to compromise with the Peronist mafia, she'll send them all to the firing squad...I like this :)

Remember that the Peronists are the Republicans of the South, and will do everything possible to make the country ungovernable.

This is my guesstimation if all seats of both houses for CABA were up for vote this year, and the results were based on BAExpats'
voting minus the protest/non voters:

Also, I might be wrong on the math, so if I am, please correct me, but assuming we have 25 deputies for CABA, and dividing the seats across
parties by percent (assuming they've earned over 3% minimum or w/e it is) our deputy make up might look like this:

As for Senators, PRO would get 1 of course at least, and an alliance of the new FAP and Communists in to a Socialist Alliance might get a seat too if possible. I'm not quite clear on how seat delegation works for the Senate since there are only 3.

Again, I might be getting this all wrong, but if not it's an interesting view of how things would/wouldn't be run thanks to us expats!

From the fryng pan into the straitjacket.

You can't post a Cap Fed poll without UNEN, yes, they are a messy alliance but removing them skews the vote.

This election will once again show how easily the people are fooled. Massa is a Kirchnerista in disguise. Tragic.

He will have a security emphasis, which will have a minimal impact nationally, but the lack of discussion on relations with the rest of the world and counter inflations measures basically mean that we will have another left of centre populist government when he arrives. He'll make a few deals with the Rural sectors but will I imagine continue to print money and allow unions to write their own paychecks.

It would take a severe crisis to avert this coronation, I think we'll limp along until the election.
