Seems to make some sense...

Doesn't take into account the possibility of a major devaluation of the Official dollar 32% to perhaps $11.1 before year end.

and here is Tomas Bulat's views on how things will go on the exchange rate

Reading the comments want to add what is suggested by some Argie friends "Obtain a consumer loan (3 year) then walk to the Cueva and buy Blue dollars , then sell some dollars to make the payments" .

How to beat inflation!
  • Well hoard on non perishables in a pantry
  • Buy a bicycle on the 50 payment zero interest Plan
  • Cut to ZERO expenditures on non essential items, hold your Blue's, as business slows down further. More Frantic desperate at-cost offers will come OUT, 2 x 1 cheaper tickets , hotels, clothing , Electronics , etc

Although Mendoza may enjoy a tourism boom based on the blue rate, Buenos Aires is not. Today BA are cutting the frequency of UK to BA flights. Tourism numbers are down across the board in the city.

Shop outside the supermarkets, Iriarte Verde will deliver your 15 kilos of veg for less than 200 pesos. They haven't increased that price since I have been using them. All organic.

Go to your feriado itinerante, buy from the producers at a price which discounts supermarket price hikes. - http://www.buenosaires.gob.ar/areas/espacio_publico/mantenimiento_urbano/ferias_mercados/ferias_intinerantes.php?menu_id=23759

Around the peripheries of these you'll probably find non official stalls selling fresh or dried chillies. I can vouch for the chicken and pork sold in the market in Moldes in Belgrano every Sat morning. The prices have stayed relatively stable.

Learn to cook and from scratch. Best investment you'll make.

Tourism numbers need to fall much more. It is past the time for BA to have reasonable prices.
