Every country has shaped its biofauna in it's bid to become developed and improve the quality of life of it's people. The whole world benefits from the amazon just as the whole world benefited from the countless ecosystems destroyed by developed nations.

However, for some strange reason, the whole world wants the benefit of the Amazon without paying for it. They expect the Brazilian people to have the burden of not developing fully so that the rest of the world can breath easily.

It's pretty easy. If the rest of the world values the Amazon then pay Brazil to not burn it. Whatever income would be raised by turning it into strip mines and agricultural land can be paid to Brazil collectively by the rest of the world to not do those things. In this way the world shares the burden of being the lungs and the Brazilian people have a chance to become rich the same way Europe and america and china did.

Why is the Amazon the "lungs of the world"? Well, to offset carbon dioxide emission from industrialized nations.
You in Argentina right now produce on average 4.4 tons of CO2 per year. That is double what an average Brazilian produces. If you are living in the US, Canada or Western Europe, you produce almost 10 TIMES the amount of CO2 a typical Brazilian produces.
So it is very cute to see someone like you who came from a developed nation, and who now lives on a nation that produces twice as much CO2 as Brazil, comfortably sitting back all self righteous spitting hypocritical outrage about Brazil being a threat to the environment, because cutting down the rainforest will prevent the offsetting of all the CO2 that is the residue of your comfortable consumerist/industrial lifestyle.

Nothing like a dose of reality.
So Bolsonaro promised to his evangelical base to move the Brazilian embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
But now he is facing adamant resistance on the matter from his own military and agro-business cabinet members.
The military sees absolutely no strategic benefit for Brazil to take sides on the the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and see the move as an actual liability, both in terms of diplomacy and security.
For the agro-business folks, such move could put in risk tens of billions in export to Muslim majority countries. Brazil is the largest producer and exporter of halal meet in the world, by a wide margin.
It will be interesting to see how Bolsonaro, not known for being a consensus builder, will manage such conflicting interests within his own cabinet. I expect these contradictions to be the trademark of his administration.
