I don't have a car but would be happy to organize an outing if you guys are up for a very early morning, or we could go Saturday at 7:30 or so. I can ask my local remiseria for a price. Just the fish part, though.

However, 7.30 is late. We should be there by 7. It takes 15 minutes to arrive there so early (from my home in downtown).

Yes, I have seen walnuts in bulk there, but then we have to go into the big fruit and vegetable hangars, not sure if I am up for that, we'd have to go very early.

Noruega you're Norwegian so you know seafood better! If you're happy with what you find here, OK, but I've found the seafood to be consistently poor, little selection and either not fresh or else they have very primitive freezing methods at sea so much of the flavor is taken out of the fish when they do that. I've never been to the central market but I've been to a number of expensive pescaderias in Palermo and Recoleta, and I just want to get out as soon as I walk in, the fish has this dull look of old badly frozen fish.

I had bought walnuts in bulk once but they got insects after some time and eventually my full apartment was full of insects..

Now, I never buy more than 1 kg of walnuts at one time

Yes you can. Pecans perhaps not. I used to pay 100 pesos per kilo there ( at ML is double).
