They will be packing up and taking advantage of the new legislation, about to pass in the US, allowing them to become permanent residents with an investment of $500K in US real estate.

I have not seen this reported anywhere other than here. Is this some sort of inside info, or have I been missing something? Bonus appreciation if you could point me to some hard info.

I read the same thing, but that it was just a possibility they were considering and not something on the verge of becoming reality.

I hope it does as this will be my ticket to a US visa

From everything I've read, this is likely to be passed. There are few other good proposals to raise the sagging US real estate prices.

Not unlike Latvian politicians that first introduced this concept of getting residency (EU) for real estate purchase back in July 2010.
But even more of a bargain at only 70k Euros.!!!

There will be a lot of very unhappy expats as I have heard that 70% of them are being denied by Afip the right to change their currencies into dollars.

The black market rate seems to have risen to 4.70 pesos per dollar.
