Believe it or not that didn't occur to me. Too much work has frazzled my brain. The website did have the specs. The maximum output is 105 watts. A transformer with up to 500 watts in BsAs on Mercadolibre is only $399 pesos, much cheaper than in the States so my friend is going to buy the TV at Best Buy and the transformer on Mercadolibre.

Glad you found it. Just a little advice: think about if you will likely purchase other devices that require voltage transformation and could be plugged in there too when choosing the transformer. Personally, I'd choose one which exceeds the sum of the max. outputs for all devices I plan to plug in times 1.5 (as a safety buffer - otherwise a fuse might say goodbye if the spec is not 100% accurate).
