Cigarette Prices At Different Kiosks

Damn, what a pity I didn't know about the cig prices in Argentina in my smoking years :( That alone would have made me move there.

So you're soliciting sympathy for your pity party by pointing out typos? You tend to give out as much as you get, so maybe it's time to come down from your cross.

Are you serious? I didn't point out your typo until the non expat dominatior of this site made an issue of it .

I do not need or want your sympathy or pity. I've told you this before, and your cross analogy is asinine.

I do not jump on other member's typos or change their posts to make it look like they said something they did not in a "quote" to which I am replying...either to be funny insulting. When I disagree with someone I make an effort to reply with facts that support my position and/ or provide a link that does so. I am surprised the moderator(s) of this site have tolerated the former for so long, especially form someone who does not actually live in Argentina.

I do wonder which of the two that you think I "give out" the most here: an endless supply of one line (often snide) comments or sincere advice to those who come to this looking for answers to questions about being (or becoming) a real expat in Argentina? Based on your comment, I also wonder if you know the difference between the two.

PS: You don;t have to answer. My self esteem is not dependent on your opinion.

PS2: Nor do I want to see the Alinsky soldier banished from this battlefield. He can do far less damage here than almost anywhere else.

And I don't have to become a martyr to achieve my goal in that regard (so no cross necessary).

I have him exactly where I want him.

[background=transparent]The six major characteristics for defensive communicators are:[/background]
  • Evaluative speech - Evaluative speech is a manifested sign of a defensive communication style. Insecure people tend to categorize others as either good or bad, and make evaluative judgments on values and motives.
  • Control - A defensive communicator attempts to impose one’s control over the other by insistence of details, emphasis on adherence to norms, and emphasizing on the semantics. The defensive communicator also tries to coerce, manipulate, and withhold data using position, in a bid to counter the perceived threats.
  • Strategy - A defensive style shows recourse in various strategies such as withholding information, taking recourse to a special set of data or information, providing abstract information, trying to change or avoid the topic, and deliberate assumptions of guileless to counter the perceived threat from the other person. The defensive communicator tries to direct others and is not open to different ideas.
  • Neutrality - People with defensive communication styles perceive neutrality or lack of positive strokes in the other persons’ communication as a sign of hostility. Their messages similarly betrays indifference, disdain, and lack of interest.
  • Superiority - People using defensive communication usually have a superiority complex, and attach little importance to differences in appearance, status, and power. They are unwilling to establish mutual trust, and have little value to offer.
  • Certainty - Defensive communicators aim to win arguments rather than solve problems, and mask their inferiority by assuming to be right. They emit absolute messages, with no scope for further discussions. They live in a state of denial in any conflict.

In order to attempt to reverse the gross injustice done to the OP and because of her love of cats I suggest we punctuate all of our posts in this topic with cute cat photos.

It's amusing to see someone bunkered up in his own little mini-world attempt to set the standard for who is eligible to comment on Argentina. It's pathetic, though, when he tries to express himself through juvenile emojis, and to impose his rigid Paulista standards (so to speak; no offense intended to our Brazilian friends) on the rest of the world. What he actually knows would probably fit into a single tweet - or less.

It's pathetic, though, when he assumes so much more than he knows - in reality, it would fit into a single tweet or less - and then tries to rely on juvenile emojis to get his point across.

Maybe it would be better to buy your cigs at wholesale in Abasto. Is that possible?

Joe Mob "I'm only kidding with you, we're having a party, I just came home and I haven't seen
you in a long time and I'm breaking your balls, and you're getting fucking fresh. I'm sorry, I
didn't mean to offend you."
