CK's tantrum in perspective

It behooves you not to underestimate these two oracles of fair and just government. They will find a way...

I think you are correct and listening to these views helps you to understand Argentina. You have to realize any problem is always put off to some scapegoat. The current scapegoats are Menem, IMF, and the U.S.A. for the 2001 debacle. Of course then you could ask who was responsible for the crisis before that, and the one before that, and so on. I am wondering who will be blamed for the next meltdown which I believe isn't too far away. When you understand these views(you don't have to agree with them) you will understand why Argentina has the problems they have and why they have suffered the from long term economic decline which continues.

Lucas, really, a great mayority of locals (me included) do not by any of the garbage the K´s try to feed us every day ! they are criminals and should be sent to jail, pure and simple, them and all their thugs (moyano, delia, moreno, etc, etc , etc)
6,7,8 is a show not different from Tinelli´s baliando por un sueño. It´s all put together and then acted on ! they have scripts and made up arguments and songs. Just think about this, if they were any real, they would not be able to agree with the Ks 100% , it´s impossible !! no one is that perfect !! (and certainly not the Ks :S )
You cannot answer any question just like no other K supporter can !!
Clarin and la nacion definately have a huge influence in peoples choices and ideas (after all, unless you forgot, it was thanks to their very agresive positive propaganda that Kirchner even won, nobody knew him and clarin group did everything in their power to make sure he won. this combination only madi it possible. Well, these two and the unexplainable need of argies to vote for the most corrupted, populist option - menem - )

K supporter modus operandi:
Post garbage. Refuse to acknowledge critics. Stop posting for a while. Return with the same garbage after a while.
Rinse and repeat.

I wonder how investment friendly Argentina would be if they had borrowed money from the IMF and thus implemented their austerity measures. Rampant unemployment and rioting on the streets sure brings those investors over here fast. Just look at Tunisia and Egypt.

All this noise about a few extra undeclared gun barrels in a transport plane when they (the K Gov) give the narcos the green light to run our airports..and yes this Mafia is much much bigger than anyone here cares to mention...even the Argentine airforce is involved in drug trafficking...stop & think for a moment about all the back room drug deals that go on at Eze & other airports while the K collect $$$ in bribes....

"What leaves me scratching my head though is why a bottle of Malbec costs more in Argentina than in the US? I may start bringing my own supply of Luigi Bosca or Carmelo Patti when I return to BA. Something aint right when a bottle of wine from a vineyard in Lujan de Cuyo is shipped half way around world and still costs less than at Jumbo in Palermo.[/quote]"

Exporters could NEVER charge the same high prices in the US where there is a large, open and highly competitive international wine market. Argentinian Malbec too expensive? Try something from California,. France, Australia, South Africa or anywhere else in the world -- it's all available at competitive prices. In Argentina you have to limit yourself to domestic wine at very high prices (for quality wine). It's a question of an open Capitalist system vs. a closed command economy (Argentina) with all its restrictions and high taxes. Then there's the greed factor -- Argentine businesses often charge the maximum price possible and sell to a small market rather than pricing fairly and cultivating a larger market.

I already explained this to cbphoto but of course he had no arguments and just ignored my post.

Here is the article you yourself posted:
http://www.argentinaindependent.com/...ing-in-spain-/

Defense minister Arturo Puricelli announced that “nobody can doubt that the Air Force is involved.”

So, if the Kirchner administration was in on this, why are they admitting to high level of corruption? Wouldn't it be a lot smarter to deny?

The suspected smugglers are Gustavo Adolfo and Eduardo Antonia Julia, the sons of José Juliía, the former head of the Air Force, during Carlos Menem’s rule. Also under arrest is Gaston Miret, the son of José Miret, former secretary of planning during the dictatorship.

And does it sound like these guys are friends with the Kirchner administration to you?

@ Does foreign investment ever ameliorate poverty?

Yes. It is incredibly important.
