...something to keep in mind while the dammed thing doesn't decide to mutate into a more deadly form.

Which may have already happened in Iran (go to 6:10 and then watch the entire video):

I just hope he's right about the declining number of cases in China...

Like it or not, the USD is where it's at when the peso dives into the toilet.
With worthless pesos, what else is there HERE?

The peso can lose its value for sure but this does not mean that the US dollar is infallible . In a world economic collapse all fiat currencies can collapse and the only thing that has value are physical assets ie. land holdings . food supplies, gold , silver etc etc . Fiat currencies are not infallible and the US dollar is the most overvalued currency in the history of the world .

Are we discussing eventual practical solutions for the near future or just

showing our political colors?

My PolSci diploma must be stored somewhere... Haven't seen it in decades. I warm you, I can talk bullshit like a pro.

Last time Argentina hit rock bottom, the USD was quite effective where the other local funny currencies were not. The world might be collapsing, the Argies dream of dollars. It is said that Kirchner preferred €500 bills but I believe the rest still swear by old (large head) Benjamin Franklin's C note.

When we start trading silver, gold and deeds, then the ruling currency will be the 9mm para.

I recommend this channel too, Chris Martenson is an economist who reports on the Corona Virus. His background as a trained scientist adds a good balance between science & economics.... very popular

Methinks our beloved government is in no hurry to confirm ANY case of Covid19 after spending this past month staring out the window and doing absolutely nothing to prepare for what is no longer coming soon but is likely already here. Border controls never happened. Denial is a killer.

There's no "treatment" I know about.

While he agrees with that statement, a few seconds before the five minute mark in this video, Dr. John Campbell suggests that antibiotics, though not effective against viruses may help prevent secondary bacterial infections (which could kill you when your system is weakened).

So, for those of us who are "out in the sticks" (and anyone else who would prefer to avoid seeking any medical treatment during an outbreak), having antibiotics on hand is definitely a must.

The video includes a number of suggestions which should at the least reduce the risk of contracting and/or spreading the disease, as well as what to do if the hospitals are already full and a containment/quarantine center is not a desired destination.

So..., have you considered how far and how reliable are/will be your supply lines WHEN the situation gets worse?

World economy might tip over in a short while.
Argentina has this unique way of magnifying anything that is bad elsewhere while diminishing favourable events.

The country is desperate for credit when the rest is worrying about the virus, exports might hit an all time low and the government is about to try to squeeze the exporters for more cash (the knee jerk response for this is always to hide the goods, hope for the best and call it a bad year). Facts are hardly ever taken into consideration.

We have bred three or more generations of people who have never worked a day in their lives, have little education, no respect for life or property.
How are they going to react when the virus hits hard and supplies run out?

Believe the next crisis might be worse than 2001, when society more or less held together. It is way shattered as it is right now, without the virus and impending default complications.

Just my 2cents

Antibiotics do not work against viruses.

I did, I started stocking up 4 weeks ago. Food water, face masks, antibiotics etc etc...emailed everyone and alerted them to get supplies , got ridiculed & laughed at ....now the music stops.
