Two young english speaking asshats with running gear just left the building... Don´t know what to think. Everything is closed in the area.
Big hotels got rid of their guests.

Re the guy on Buquebus. I checked the Uruguayan paper, el Observador, and the story differs.

An Argentinian guy returned from London to Montevideo, and went for a few days to Punta del Este to visit some friends. He had himself privately tested for coronavirus, but the group decided to go back to BA before getting the result. He had no symptoms of illness, but while on Buquebus, he got an e-mail confirming that he was infected. He told his friends, who informed the captain, and it all evolved from there.

Quite a different story from "escaping from a hospital". Which one is true?

Heard both sides of the story.

They coudn´t book a flight to BA so they went to PdE. THEY SHOULD HAVE STAYED THERE. Period. End of story. The rest is BS.
Now we have to divert resources to take care of 400 bitching potential virus hosts in an empty centric hotel.

These human flies that are not following the rules and putting others at risk need to be swatted very very hard. IMHO!

Dr. Giorgio Palù, the former president of the European and Italian Society for Virology and a professor of virology and microbiology of the University of Padova, told CNN he'd hoped to see the first signs of a change after just over a week of nationwide lockdown, but that has yet to materialize. "Yesterday we expected to have a change after almost 10 days of this new measure ... but it's still rising," he told CNN. "So I don't think we can make a prediction today."
...
He says the Italian government lagged at first. It was "lazy in the beginning... too much politics in Italy."

"There was a proposal to isolate people coming from the epicenter, coming from China," he said. "Then it became seen as racist, but they were people coming from the outbreak." That, he said, led to the current devastating situation

US government warning all citizens should return home.

Gee thanks but no thanks. They have handled it so poorly it baffles me. Now it seems to be utterly out of any scope that could be brought into real containment. Cases are racking up and sadly what follows that is not fun with this virus.
