Two key things Argentina lacks meaning not even a vaccine is enough to fix its Covid problem any time soon. I expect things here to get a whole lot worse over the summer and well into next year (and even the following) as we stumble through what is likely to be a botched vaccination and containment program.

Chile will start vaccinating with the Pfizer one from next week. Seniors will be included and prioritized as well as other essential workers and risk groups. It is set to be the first country in Latin America to start giving the vaccines.

The Pfizer vaccine will also be available along with the Chinese one (which Brazil will use) and Covax.

Pfizer utiliza DHL para desplazar sus vacunas y confía en su experiencia como transportador global. DHL llevó las dosis a Israel y hará lo mismo con las vacunas que aterrizarán hoy en el Aeropuerto de Santiago de Chile. Pfizer apuesta por DHL y es muy cauta al momento de reemplazar a este proveedor con exitosa trayectoria.

En este contexto, Pfizer explica que no hubo acuerdo porque la Argentina no quiere pagar los costos del transporte que ejecutaría DHL. La vacuna tiene dos dosis y su valor de mercado es cercano a los 20 dólares. A ese precio debía sumarse el costo de DHL como transportador autorizado del consorcio farmacéutico norteamericano/alemán, explicaron a Infobae voceros de Pfizer en el exterior.

Apparently Argentina wanted to use AA to transport the vaccine, while Pfizer is demanding they use DHL. DHL is better equipped to ensure that the vaccine is properly transported at the freezing temperatures that is required to preserve its integrity.

Very simple, (1)the trial is not transparent, they do not deliver the complete open results,
first animals, and later 3 stages of human trails, and all the data. Everything is blackbox operation.This time FDA learned the lesson from
FAA, who trusted Boeing's work too much on 737. FDA not only checked the data from 2 US vaccine companies,
they did a of of their own work and they monitored the trail from the beginning.

Do you know the vaccine business in China is a joke ? So many children died (and animals died) from fake or shitt*y
vaccines. Russia is not much better, the fact they lack funding does not make them much better.
Most of the doctors I know in China would not take the vaccine, that's why one Chinese company
bought 100m from BioNTech.

(2)the vaccines by China and Russia is not mRNA. They killed the virus first, then use the dead body, so their vaccine is far far far less effective
than mRNA. 35% effective would be a miracle, vs 95% by 2 US companies. It's much hard to do mRNA, which is modified live
virus.

I am not sure how harmful Russian/Chinese vaccines can be, but the effectiveness is certainly questionable.
Based on their reputation, I'd rather not take it. I am surprised Brazil bought some Chinese ones and Argentina
bought Russian.

If this is the only available one, maybe its OK to take it, but when better ones become available, I would take it again.
