UPDATE: Israel...4 February 2021
Two drugs were successfully tested in Israel for severe COVID-19 cases: EXO-CD24 and Allocetra.
Expert: Israel must vaccinate children to reach herd immunity. Prof. Ronit Calderon-Margalit of the Hebrew University – Hadassah Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine said the disappointing effect of the five-week closure was due to a lax enforcement of the lockdown and fatigue in the public. She told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that it was a sign of a failure by the government not to impose selective lockdowns according to the traffic light plan. She added that Israel could not reach herd immunity if children were not eventually vaccinated too.

UPDATE: 02-04 February, 2021

"In the context of the global shortage of vaccines, Argentina may receive a significant number of doses this week. The Russian Fund for Direct Investment and the Gamaleya Institute promised to ship 400,000 doses this week 1 before next Monday . This would strongly boost vaccination. But, in addition, according to the contract signed by Alberto Fernández last week, Oxford / AstraZeneca would also comply this week with the shipment of the first batch of the 580,000 doses agreed before the end of the month......"

"To all this we must add that the Russian Fund and Gamaleya say they hope to deliver one million doses in the last two weeks of February. If that were the case, there will be a huge amount to advance in the vaccination of those over 60 and teachers."

It was made with technology transfer from Oxford/AstraZeneca. The Government authorized the emergency use of the Indian Covishield vaccine. The drug produced by the Serum Institute of India was approved in the last hours by the ANMAT and authorized for emergency by the Ministry of Health....

....Poonawalla explained that the Indian government would agree to the doses at a price of US5.00 each, which positions it as one of the cheapest vaccines on the market and, in addition, it is easy to store because it does not require such low temperatures for its conservation.

What do we know about the variants of the coronavirus detected in Argentina.
The Minister of Health of the Nation, Ginés González García, announced yesterday that the National Administration of Laboratories and Health Institutes (ANLIS) Dr. Carlos G. Malbrán detected a new variant of the coronavirus in the country, variant 501Y.V3, lineage P.1 (Manaus, Brazil). In addition, two more samples of the P.2 variant (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) were detected, which had already been reported last January in our country. In all cases, they were isolated samples from travelers from Brazil.

In addition, two other variants aroused the attention and concern of the scientific community: VOC (variant of concern) 202012/01 (lineage B.1.1.7), the most recent sample of which was detected in the United Kingdom, and variant 501Y.V2 (lineage B.1.351), detected in South Africa. So far, in Argentina the variant of the United Kingdom - in an Argentine resident in that country who arrived in Argentina from Germany - and the two Brazilians have been detected....

....In principle, experts do not believe that the vaccines developed will be less effective against the new variants. “Constant epidemiological surveillance is very important. So far we can say that all vaccines could respond to these variants that are circulating, but no one is exempt from the fact that another mutation may appear that does affect them ", warned to Chequeado in this note Mariana Viegas, who heads the Genomic Group of Respiratory Viruses of the Virology Laboratory of the Ricardo Gutierrez Children's Hospital.
