Hi, all. I'll be there in about a month and really looking forward to visiting your fair city.

At the moment, I'm grooving to Pandor, which just played something from a CD/collection titled Frequent Flyer: Buenos Aires (http://www.amazon.com/Frequent-Flye...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1299474812&sr=8-1) which appears to be some seriously cool maga-cool hypno-ambient-downbeat music. So, I wonder, where in BsAs there might be a venue that features this music. Anybody?

Thanks.

See you soon (I hope).

I googled it and read the amazon webpage posted above. I understand that Frequent Flyer Buenos Aires is a series of music, a compliation of very good music from here. I also found a lounge with that name.

By they way, there is wonderful good music to listen in Buenos Aires!!!

Sounds as though the Lounge is affiliated with the compilation, in the same way that London's Buddha Bar or Ibiza's Café Del Mar put out their own chill-out albums.

It can't be a coincidence.

I am pretty sure I am older, not younger- but I listen to a lot of this stuff.

The frequent flyer CD is a compilation of a lot of the Electro Tango bands.

The usual suspects are all present.

Tanghetto,

Gotan Project

Carlos Liebendsky

Bajofondo-

Some of these are studio only projects, others actual bands.
There is not, as far as I know, any one place to see this kind of music, but it pops up in a wide variety of venues.
All 4 of the artist websites above will list upcoming shows.

Other similar music to look for would include
Tango Crash-

Hugo Diaz-

and I would encourage you to check out
Axel Kreiger
Gaby Kerpel
Tonolec
Santiago Vasquez
Ulises Conti
Me Daras Mil Hijos
Tremor
Zizek
El Remolon
King Coya
Juana Molina
No Lo Soporto
Rosal
Isla de los Estados
just to name a few.

The music scene is great here, lots of good stuff playing all the time.
