Current Human Rights Violations In Argentina

I like your comment, but let's think for a minute. If the people in power circumvent the law, then who is going to stop them? It doesn't matter if it's a law or not, since they are in power and have no one to halt their activities. Those currently in the government that sell drugs are also committing human rights violations when they sell drugs, whether they do it in the name of the state or not.
...

I totally agree. Whether the actions of the government, people, military, etc are within the law or not is irrelevant the the practical big picture. Seems more practical to note what broad sweeping general but accurate statements we can make about the quality of life, and whether people's rights are being respected, whether by those in power, or by criminals, or whatever. The laws and politicians can have the best of intentions, but if they fail to enforce a rule of law that protects human rights, there is a systemic failure, which ultimately rests squarely upon our own shoulders.

I dont know...
We can only talk of Human Rights when is the State in the middle (commission or omission).
So, in the dictatorship they tortured and killed people from the State. Thats commission. But when we talk about omission it has to be proven laziness, and by this I mean a systematic omission and proven, that the State did nothing on purpose, or whatever it did it wasnt enough, and from the State taking it as a whole. So if there exists an anti drug office in the police, you cant say that is Human Right violation. You can discuss, yes, if the money they spend there is appropiate, if they do not catch any drug dealer, if they let some big fishes pass, and all that stuff, but honestly I dont think that happens with intention and I dont think they not care. Obviously exist people from the government that is in the bussiness and they take advantage of the place they are in, but also obviously is that there is a huge part of police, intelligence service, etc, that are clearly against drugs and they chase these guys and they catch some of them. The police exists, the law exists and people are very careful when they buy or sell drugs, so thats an indicator that in some level is still working.

Also, the problem is that when you sell drugs theres one who is buying it, and not forced on, hes buying it voluntarily. And when two people want to evade the law, they get toghether anywhere and theres pretty much nothing to do. Police cant enter very easily to every private apartment to arrest people, is not that easy. Today theres a huge market, a lot of people that use different drugs. what you re asking the state to do? chase everyone? thats impossible.
So thats the other face of the problem, the same problem of prostitution, sin clientes no hay trata.

6. The main "perks or privileges" of a socialist nation isn't being able to change dollars, it's having FREE access to health care and education, which you have right now. You may consider it your right to study at UCA or have yourself treated at Mater Dei, but the fact that you can't doesn't mean your human rights are being violated.

Ah and the hate towards the 'socialists' starts. The UK has an even bigger access free health care and you can still buy dollars. And none of it is seen as a 'perk'. Free healthcare should be a right. (perhaps thats why the Argentine girls like the English ;)

As for buying dollars well thats not a human right but I can see where she is coming from.

Alright already. She means emigrate I suppose, or she started with extirpar (to remove) which may be translated as "eradicate" in other contexts. Would love to see a list of all the times the people making fun of her have butchered some word in Spanish.

Just a bit of friendly banter ;)

I'd just like to point out that it is not "free". You are paying for it with your tax dollars.
