Dealing with blackouts

This is nothing compared to 2013, during Cristina's second term. We had so many long power outages that we were in the top level for compulsory compensation from Edesur. I didn't have an electric bill for more than two and a half years, 2013-1015. It was small consolation, especially since the average bill was US$5-10. I don't know anyone who wouldn't have preferred to just have the electricity work. No power, which also meant no water, no ascensores. Plus the constant smell of burning tires in the streets everywhere, thousands of people without power for weeks, and sometimes months at a time. It was a nightmare. It could be better now, but it was so much worse then.

My coworker lived on 14th floor. They didn't have electricity for more than a month. No fridge no ac, no water. Mother left with kids to mar de plata, because it was impossible to live there. Coworker stayed for work and took shower in a gym.. Nightmare.
