Denied Digital Nomad Visa - My Experience

How many times and for how long have you overstated? The print out from the court case system has no value for immigrations. If you get denied entry you can always have a lawyer on standby to submit a stay on the decision of immigrations and ultimately have a judge decide if you're admissible or not.

you ll be fine. if you want to leave to go home, pay the fine and travel with piece of mind. they will not deny you entry for overstaying under 2 years and just once. multiple years and times (2-3) trigger a red flag. once no.

p.s. the only thing that can go wrong is that if perhaps, the court has already requested an informe/officio on you from immigration in that case, the fact that you were seeking citizenship might appear in their system and they may flag you as well. I don't know how they work.

The Argentine Digital Nomad Visa is a great option if you desire to travel within our country, having multiple entries and working remotely withouth paying taxes here for upto 1 year.

Most of my clients apply to this permit first to get to see how it is to live here and if they desire to stay longer, I process their residencies within the country on a legal status.

Regarding the issues with certain Embassies, it is true, the process is quite discretionary and some times I had to step in with legal arguments to smooth the path for the application to be approved. But everything worked out, it is all in the Law.

Unfortunately, no. A change of status (COS) would be required to obtain a DNI.

If I understand correctly, a "change in status" to get the DNI would require a prorroga for a cambio de categoría from residencia transitoria to residencia temporaria at the office of migraciones. Since the digital nomad visa only grants residencia transitoria, it would be necessary to qualify for a visa which grants temporary residency.

The first cambio de categoría I requested was the change from residencia transitoria to residencia temporaria when I applied for the "visa rentista" in 2006. The second request was for the cambio de categoría to residencia permanente on the third renewal of the temporary residency in 2009. I still had to provide the updated docs to show that I met the current requirements for the visa rentista.

Correct. Digital nomad visa is just a long fancy tourist visa.
