Obviously, this board focuses on Argentina and BA especially. I am using it to understand Argentina and BA before a visit.

I am travelling throughout South America currently. Much of what is said to describe Argentiinians and expat living in BA is untrue of other areas of South America.

I assume many members are well traveled, so I ask the question: How do the citizens of BA differ from other areas of Argentina in there manner and acceptance of yankies? And, how does this same question apply to neighboring countries that share the same immigrant pool, although not the same recent history? (Chile and Uruguay)?

Stereotyping, gotta love it...
I have traveled A LOT and from my experience I'd say people do not care where you're from as long as you're a decent person. An *** is an *** no matter his nationality

very true. I agree -sadly - with the comic.

However, I hoped for some thoughtful and substantive observations from those with first hand knowledge.
