Do argentinos consider a porteño accent more prestigious?

More prestigious than accents from other provinces of Argentina?
 
And the further you get from Capital Federal, "Argentinos" from other provinces (including Buenos Aires) consider Porteños more pretentious.
 
Accents from NOA and NOE are discriminated in the media ... Specially if some one omits the S's at the end of words.....:rolleyes:

You got that right when I bump into to them here, many not all act like snobs.
 
The porteño accent is not my favourite of Argentina . I love the accent of Missiones province and Mendoza province . For sophisticated spanish accents nothing beats the educated accent of DF Mexico . Lima Peru . or Bogota Colombia . Educated people from these cities speak the best spanish of South America .

For sensuality nothing beats the colombian accent and most people agree.

That would definitely be the case in Corrientes. Drives me nuts they speak really fast and drop the S. Very hard to get a accustomed to.
