Effects Of A Default On Expats

What?!?

Anything about the fight over payment or not, that comes from an Argentine source is as reliable as what comes from the holdouts.

They are fighting a war in the media and neither can be trusted.

As said since 1 month, there's indeed an issue with Griesa, due to his age.

He should have stopped dealing with this case, thousands of Argentines lives are at stakes and I can imagine the backstage discussions between the stakeholders about him.

Now the fact most of the medias report only that Griesa said A default would be terrible for Argentina is what makes people like you so gullible, unable to analyse things in a critical way, leaving dogmas behind.

You should limit yourself to posting links as to if a meeting was scheduled at 10 or 11am, that's within your reach

Another casualty of Argentina's debt woes. Old judge may have met his match (CFK) and thrown in the towel. AR has stonewalled the old judge into submission. Talk about pulling a rabbit out of the hat: Griesa will be on vacation in Montana until further notice.....

The question is what the US can do now to clean this mess, lives are at stake in Argentina (to fill up the pockets of people also taking the money from US taxpayers while using offshore places).

Not good for the image of the US Justice system

Typical modern day yuppie USA thinking, world revolves around me.

As long as the majority of people in the US dont know about this case let alone form an opinion on it then what the US justice system does/who it favours is entirely irrelevant.

Image of the US Justice system --> on the foreign side (does this story make look the US safer as a business place if there's so much legal uncertainty? -> interpretation of the pari-passu which started slowly evolving in the 1990s / very weird interpretation of the Champerty doctrine in this case / role of the lobbies, etc.).

Furthermore it's also about a Judge, as honorable he may be, who might not have anymore the capacities to work. If the case was about parking tickets, why not, but this case has a worldwide effect (millions of lives, etc.).

Of course, the average American Joe doesn't give a damn about this story, I agree
