Trump and Milei have a good relationship which will manifest itself as a benefit to Argentina in the form of trade policy. Also, with the Trump victory comes the expectation that DXY will hold its value, which is good news for those whose income is U.S. dollar based. So, while people may not like either Trump or Milei, they will benefit, at least tangentially, from a dollar that maintains its value. The caveat being that economic reform doesn't happen overnight.

And, IMO, the sooner the current U.S. ambassador, Marc Stanley, is replaced, the better.

If that trade policy does not include some sort of exception from tariffs, not good at all for the Argentine wine producers. Already hard enough in most US markets to sell Malbec that retails for more than $15. When it's all 20-25% more expensive, fahgettaboudit. Ah well, may ultimately be good for overpriced California wines.

Not what I was expecting, but I can't say I'm unhappy with the result.

The result is definitely what I was expecting by looking at amount of sincere Trump's support outside of a few densely populated urban bubbles.
Even Amish went voting in droves, all for Trump.

But there was still fear that due to some tricks we could wake up to a different result.

From my experience voting in Nevada:

(1) I registered to vote on the same day that I became a naturalized citizen of the US. Nobody asked me any proof that I am indeed a citizen. There is no way for state and county officials to know that I'm already a citizen. So it was just my honest word that I'm citizen.

(2) I received my ballot in mail that contained mismatched names (the outer envelope was addressed to me but the inner reply envelope had glued sticker with a wrong name and wrong voter number).
