You can buy an iPhone in Canada and it still comes with the physical SIM tray. Considering how much I travel it was worthwhile for me to pick one up on my business trip there

Somewhat related, but if you don't already pay for a US/EU/Canada SIM you might want to just use roaming, especially w/Personal. My plan is $1,800 a month and now includes 2GB of data and unlimited WhatsApp in all the countries that border Argentina + US. When I was in Europe I did the math and it was cheaper to simply roam, I think I used 6GB, SMS, a few phone calls in the EU + Turkey all over the span of a month for like $30 extra vs buying an eSIM which was minimum $20 to start.
