Exchanging Pesos in the US

We asked in person in Jan and they said no. That may have changed but I wouldn't bet on it. And certainly not large amounts.

I just got confirmation that my relative was able to exchange a few hundred pesos for dollars at the Miami airport on Tuesday. The rate was $5.50, which sucks, but better than nothing.

Any follow-up on exchanging at a US bank? Was anyone able to do this and get a good rate?
Also, has anyone tried exchanging to reals in Brazil and then into dollars? I've heard that this may yield a decent excahnge.
Finally, as far as I understand it foreigners cannot buy foreign currency in Argentina with pesos. Without a DNI I'm just getting shugged shoulders everywhere.
