Besides, it could be nice if I could attend to a real live fight between forum members.

The fights are only bound to get even more violent due to the massive amounts of alcohol that will be consumed in these Friday Pub Chats. And the coffee chats were violent enough with one meeting ending in a cafe littered with broken glass and an innocent bystander with blood gushing down her forehead.

Maybe we can enlist Matias and some of his hippie friends to organize a Monday Cannabis Chat for the non-violent amongst us.

Ah, Ron, after rereading your first comment, I think you may not have known: coffee chats have taken place every Wednesday and Friday afternoon for the past 5 months without fail (Mondays, too, before I inherited hosting them a few months ago).

Faced with the choice between Friday coffee chats and Friday pub chats, I chose the latter. 3 hours per event adds up when you host 2 per week. I posted a request for hosts a few weeks back with no volunteers surfacing. Wednesdays were the more popular of the two, so I'll keep those going. This was a last ditch effort to see if anyone wished to host Fridays who did not want the Friday coffee chats to end.

Not a tragedy for anyone (I hope).

Or that you picked as the last venue a place whose badly spelled name would mean "break a leg!" In Italian?

Ah, just tried typing Bocca al Lupo, and it auto corrected to Boca, probably because I'm using a English and Spanish language options (not Italian). The name of the venue has no significance to the last Friday Coffee Chat, but I would think the significance of the name of the venue itself probably pertains to it being located in Palermo Hollywood. One of the more clever venue names I've seen, or at least one that makes sense given the location.

Kudos to GMXam! Just committing 2 afternoons to host these coffee chats takes committment and responsabilty much less trying to find new venues!
I'd like to see who will take this chore when she stops. I for one appreciate your good spirit and will!

It's not about the host at all. Sorry, that came out wrong. The guy hosting those is great. It's just about getting much larger groups. It's bound to happen. So far only great people and great experiences. The last one was really good and I'm looking forward to the next one.
