Final Friday Coffee Chat 4-7Pm, 13 June

Right. So far, no fights. Disagreements on opinion, maybe, but my experience has been that the heated arguments are less likely face to face. Maybe because you have so many other ways to communicate/receive feedback in person, maybe because of the group mentality being stronger face to face, maybe because the sun is out.

It's not about the host at all. Sorry, that came out wrong. The guy hosting those is great. It's just about getting much larger groups. It's bound to happen. So far only great people and great experiences. The last one was really good and I'm looking forward to the next one.

OK, I was just wondering. Because the two Sunday gatherings I've organized thus far have both been, or seemed to me, totally mellow. And the last one GMXam hosted, at the used-to-be-Baraka place, was wonderful.

The only note of disharmony I've ever seen at any BAExpats gathering, (and it wasn't much), was that Friday at Malvon when Jerry got a little annoyed that I laughed at him for quoting Bill O'Reilly. And that was, admittedly, an example of less-than-perfect manners on my part, mea culpa. Sorry, Jerry.

A heartfelt thanks to GMXam for hosting coffee chats. I originally joined this forum when I first arrived in Buenos Aires in the hopes of making expat friends, and that I did! The coffee chats and brunches are a huge success.

Thanks, Esteban and Jennifer. I enjoy them, too. It's nice to put a face to the name, and meet the nameless (forum-wise), too.

See, hugs and harmony...

(That's what it was...couldn't remember what happened exactly)

Reminder:

All are welcome; hope to see you there

!!! Kudos to the Hostess with the Mostess !!!

committing to going to these coffee chats twice a week is heroic. I have trouble committing to going on the given day!
Well done and many thanks

Looks like Friday Coffee Chats will still go on, alternating Fridays with Pub Chats, thanks to Internationalguy and Joe, our new Friday Coffee Chat hosts! How's that for a not-so-tragic ending!

Anyway, attendees, remember, we'll continue to begin coffee chats with the Pledge of Allegiance in a circle, holding hands of course, in order to preserve our US centricity, and end with a vow to attend the first Vagina Monologues event we come upon, in the name of womanhood. Amen.

Thanks for another great coffee chat. Will there always be Dr. Pepper, pepperoni pizza, and pancakes with maple syrup at these chats or was today just a one-time thing?

:)
