Foreign credit cards purchases at MEP rate

Right now visa is 932, WU today was 1057. I still prefer to get more than 10% discount by using WU compared to cards.
1057 on WU is good. how much were the transfer fees when I last used it, it used to be very high. With fees added, not sure whats the real rate.

Cuevas gives out 995 for 100 USD bills these days.

I got sick and tired of carrying 1000 wad of bills in my pocket. If you can financially afford it, credit card is the smartest way right now.

You can create a new account every time and never pay WU fees. I do it once per week usually. My closest WU always has cash and never has lines so for me it works out really good.

Does anyone know of an ATM printing out the new 10mil peso notes? I ask because someone previously mentioned that ATMs have a limit in that they are programmed to release a maximum of 40 bank notes... for a long time that meant a max of 40mil pesos... but now with the 10mil notes circulating in theory that would be a max withdrawal of 400mil now... I live in a small country town with just a couple of ATMs which are still giving me 1mil notes but if anyone has seen 10mil notes being released that would be great to know...

I just came back from spending a few days in Tafi del Valle, Tucuman. The ATM in town (Macro) was giving 10,000 notes and was the talk of the town. The ATM in nearby Amaicha was still loaded with 1,000s....I guess is a hit or miss at this point

The ATMs at Banco Nación have been giving me 2000 notes for months (when they're loaded in the ATM), but the limit is still 40000 per withdrawal. However, depending on your bank, you can change the daily withdrawal limit and do multiple withdrawals, at the ATMs for your specific bank. Look at the options in your home banking for withdrawal limits.

I have the limit set to the maximum daily limit of 90000.

I also recently got a cuenta DNI from Banco Provincia (de Buenos Aires), which comes with a free account with debit card at the bank. They're daily limit is 180000, so if I want more than 90000 in a day, I transfer pesos to that account and withdraw from a Banco Provincia ATM.

I know a lot of people here don't like to carry around cash, but cash always works, and sometimes there are discounts for cash.

I was at a Jumbo supermarket the other day, far from home, and I wanted a few things they had. I went to use MODO (they don't accept mercado pago), and my phone wasn't recognizing my SIM card. I was very happy that I had some cash in my pocket.

... but the limit is still 40000 per withdrawal.
Actually, the 40,000 is just a suggestion based on your last withdrawal, not a limit set by BNA. You can manually enter a different amount. If the ATM is stocked with 2,000 notes, you should be able to withdraw up to 2,000 x 40 = 80,000 in one go.

I have tried exactly that many times. It doesn't work.

I don't think ATMs are ready for these new bills yet. As far as I understand, they need to be reprogrammed for new bills and it usually takes a while. You will be lucky if you get those 2.000 bills.
