They usually do a party for various big wigs in the ambassador's residence. Nothing for the general public, though.

If you want fireworks, they sell them all-year-round in the Restaurante Supply area on Av. Jujuy (Pueyrredon continuation south of Rivadavia) between Av. San Juan & Av. Juan de Garay.

they are doing some big party for big wigs from 11-3pm i think today. the whole hood is under serious "protection". the streets near the embassy are closed and they even have one of those Argentine "riot gun tanks" which they roll out and put on the street every year.
don't think we got so much as a sling shot for Canada day.
