The Buenos Aires Philharmonic rehearses the day of the concert at 10:00am in Teatro Colon. Two days before the concert date, rehearsal tickets are handed out at the main entrance of Teatro Colon beginning at 10:00am. Get there by 9:00am and wait in the line.

I went too late today to get two rehearsal tickets. They were all handed out in two hours at the Libertad entrance.

The information given to me was incorrect. We were early for the 19,30 concert that was held in the Salon de los Pasos Pedidos. Use the Rivadavia entrance. It was excellent, especially with Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings on the program. I asked one of the musicians about their website. It's not easy to find them, and consequently there was a very small audience in attendance.

The next concert is set for Monday, May 30, 2016, in the first floor salon. It will be posted on this page in May.

The Orquesta Filarmonica de Buenos Aires begins their free series of concerts in La Usina del Arte on May 12.

International Festival of Military Bands on July 10th at 11am at the polo grounds in Palermo, that will include bands from Uruguay, Brasil, Perú, Chile, USA, Francia, España and Italia. I hope it doesn't rain the day of this big event.

These concerts have run continuously since September 4, 1984, thanks to Carlos Inzillo. I wanted to attend tonight, but got there ten minutes too late for a free ticket. They were all handed out in 20 minutes, starting at 18,30 hs in the box office on the lower level. Let's say they have a loyal following. Tonight's concert featured Nestor Astarita's Latin Jazz Quartet paying homage to the late Gato Barbieri (with whom he played).
