Getting My Papers Ready For Permanent Residency - A Recap

I am an Italian national and we do change passport number at each issue. However this number is not an ID shown on my birth certificate (it doesn't act like a SSN in the US).

Anyway, I will pay another visit to the Comisaria in San Isidro, maybe I will get a different answer about my certificado de domicilio.

The comisaria does no longer take care of domicile request. They are dealt with at the registro civil.
I went to the registro civil in San Isidro and they said I had no right to ask for domicile here on a tourist visa!

In capital it's at the police station and they come to your door... in provincia you go to the registro civil and they fill out a form for you. Go to the registro civil where you got married (with your husband, if need be) and tell them you need the paper. Since you got married there it really shouldn't be an issue.

Also, I suppose you already have the proper marriage certificate, but you need the copy of the page of the book you signed at the registro civil... not the actual marriage certificate they gave you when you got married. I learned that the hard way. :p

And yes, they want a copy of all pages in your passport. I would make a copy of everything.

You can expect to pay about 640 pesos total. (At least that's what I paid.)

Well I just did this last month and surprise surprise they are now SCANNING YOUR PASSPORT PAGES into their files so I didn't need to make copies. But I did need to bring the whole passport. I always get into abit of a fugue state around these things, but I'm pretty sure I remember this. My lawyer said they were modernizing! But bring the copies anyway, por las dudas. And make sure your photos that you bring are the correct size.

This is that went through my mind when I saw this thread title.

.....................................................HOW MORE SIMPLE CAN IT BE ?

Damn! I got your message after I went *again* at the Comisaria. Clearly, they said *again* that I have to go to the Registro Civil, which is open only Mo-Fri 8 to 13.
I got married in Munro since none of us had residency here in San Isidro - in fact, I went to the Registro Civil of San Isidro to ask to take domicile in San Isidro because I wanted to get married here, but they didn't let me. We had to get married in Munro, being my husband resident in Olivos.

And also "Damn!" after reading laCoqueta reply, I just made 2 copies of my Passport. Anyway, better safe than sorry.

My aim is to go to Migraciones just once.... will I make it? Should I bring a stapler? :D

You have the right to ONE stapler.
But remember, .. anything you bring with you, could be used against you in public court of law.

One more questions about the photo...

Does it mean BELOW BOOBS, right? Because I run a research on this forum but nobody mentioned this except someone talking about upper portion of the body and shoulders. I just have the ones showing my face and neck and tip of the shoulder. No boobs.

And how many copies?

Please, send me a copy of those (although I´d rather prefer the originals themselves).
I´ll professionally inspect them before I give my recommendations.

N.B.: If they are awesome I´ll completely waive my fees.
