Hi all,

A friend of mine is visiting and considering proposing to his girlfriend while here in CABA, so now we're looking for a good engagement spot.

Anyone have any good ideas for places he could do it? At this stage, no idea is a bad idea - we're just looking for some inspiration. Somewhere private or mostly private would be ideal!

Thanks !!

Is this the type of situation where you want a photographer present or just a nice location?

Not private, but you could probably create a private moment... There's free children's orchestra concerts at Salón Dorado in Teatro Colon. The music isn't that important, but if he needed a reason to go there that wasn't a tour and then pop the question in a beautiful building... It'd be a good place to do it.

The Rosedal. Unfortunately the roses aren’t blooming yet but the setting is pretty, especially the white bridge. He should grab a cheap flight to Iguazu though and propose there. That would be epic.

Primarily just looking for a nice location. I think I will be the photographer lol

I considered this, though when I called them they weren't super helpful. Would ideally like to book out a private-ish spot on the rooftop, but the best they could do was just to reserve one table. I wonder if maybe there wouldn't be many people there if you go in the middle of the week.

Not the roof but the one time we went mid week for afternoon tea at the Alvear, every table was taken.

Private / Nice / CABA. This sounds like one of those trick pyramids...where you can only pick 2 of the 3 sides.

We're going to need a little more to go off of here... What are they into? Are we talking outdoorsy... sophisticated urban...beach lovers? Help us out here.

I proposed to my wife rock climbing into a cave, overlooking the sunset in Joshua Tree. Knowing it would be dark inside, I picked the ring box with a built in light, which ended up making the diamond sparkle light on the cave walls. But I digress...

Here's a fun one...https://ba-h.com.ar/vuelo-en-globo/

To be honest, I think it being private (or mostly private) is the main thing.

My friend is leaving on Monday, so probably not enough time left to organise it unfortunately.

As others have suggested, I did consider a rooftop bar but most seem to be pretty busy all the time and have no ability to hire out a section to have something a little more private.
