Have You Seen A Tortilla Press In Ba(Prensa De Tortillas)?

I have one, acquired in BA, no recollection of where I got it now though, sorry! I actually use it for other things, as I had already gotten as good as I am going to get at rolling out tortillas with wine bottles. They actually turn out rounder that way for me than with the press, maybe I just need practice with it, but I can't imagine lugging this thing around the world with me in the future when wine bottles always did the job before.

I may be willing to sell it, if you don't find one. I do know what it's worth here, though...

I'm getting one from a friend very soon... Can't seem to find flour tortillas sold which taste like my mom's so I've come close to perfecting that circle with a rolling pin.

For the other tortillas I make with corn, I use lime in my corn tortillas for tacos and enchiladas; for guamanian empanadas, I use acuete in the masa. Both are best made the day you use them in a meal. Such a food snob, I am; but shortcuts to making my own, I'll take any day.

Any Argentine should be lambasted for attempting to make Mexican food due to their mortal fear of / disdain for anything remotely spicy.

Yup, that's when I pull the "I'm only half Mexican" card, lol...Guamanians love their tortilla presses for empanada tortillas. Guamanian corn tortillas are usually pressed out by hand; flour tortillas, too.

Hi, Just a couple of days ago I decided to make tortillas with Maseca for the first time since I moved back to Argentina from Mexico. I don't have a tortillera so instead, I made small "balls" out of dough, placed each one between 2 plastic films, and placed a heavy and flat surface pan on top of it and pressed down to form the tortillas. They came out pretty well!

Yeah, I resorted to this shortly after the original post. Not quite the same. Never wished I weighed more than when doing this for a few hours...1/3 of the way through 3 dozen empanadas.
