Hire car parking ticket. Looks fake.

I was careful to avoid the yellow kerbs and blue boxes, yet I have what I think may be a ticket this morning.

It looks more like the sort of thing a resident puts on a car to try to keep the space clear. It's badly photocopied with no information on it other than the date and `SW TARJE TA" on it (other than G.B.C.A and AVISO Vehiculo en Infraccion). Only the date is handwritten in shaky writing.

I had covered up the rental `Hertz` sign.

It may cost them more to go to the UK gov to collect the bill, if it's legit so I'm think it may be best to ignore it.

Does Hertz have your credit card number on file? I've been charged by rental companies after the fact for parking tickets.

Don't worry about it, just ignore it. My girlfriend's family is full of attorneys and they said all tickets that go unpaid are thrown out in two years anyhow. Tell them to come and get you!! ;-)
