Homebrew Equipment

Hi all

Myself and the father in law are interested in brewing some home made beer. Back in Ireland I bought some Australian Coopers homebrew kit online just to get started as I had no idea how to do it. But not long after (only did 2 brews) I came here and left all my brewing equipment back home.

So I was hoping someone here would know of a good place to buy supplies, both equipment and ingredients.

As I have said I am no expert so if there is a place to get a starters kit it would be perfect, but if not I'll just jump in the deep end ; )

You wont get syrups here, but you can buy all the raw ingredients.

I met Martin a few months ago when I was taking pics of his car with stickers saying "Support your local brewery" on it - which obviosly drew my attention as a German. He's a really nice guy and the community of homebrewers felt like a very nice environment to be in when I attended the christmas meeting 2012.
Brew a good beer and send me a bottle... or crate! ;-)

I am in the process of doing the same thing. You might want to try this place in San Isidro, http://www.minicerveceria.com. They advertise having cheap starter kits and they also advertise Cooper's extracts. I have not personally been there yet but my co-worker called just a few weeks ago and verified that they are still in business. If you are looking for glass carboys to ferment, you can easily find them at Mercado de las Pulgas, Dorrego y Nizeto Vega.
