I'm giving this a bump for the couple who wants to work remotely from Argentina and recently posted that they thought the visa rentista might work for them.
The major change I would make to my post is that it may not be necessary to set up a trust account that is administered by a bank.
I detailed this in another post. I will add that post to this thread later today. The trust agreement can stipulate any individual of the trustor's (who will also be the income beneficiary) who will have the power to open a bank account and make the monthly distributions required for the visa rentista.
A significant disadvantage of the visa rentista based on a salary earned in another country would be if migraciones requires that the entire monthly income must be transfered to an Argentine bank account, not just the minimum required for the visa rentista.
