I am discussing the possibility of being employed by a local company here in Buenos Aires. As a non-mercosur citizen (I am Italian), I understand the process of applying for a temporary working visa should follow these steps:
1) go to "oficina Migaciones" and apply for a "residencia temporaria" (bring several documents as passport, antecedentes penales, job pre-contract, etc.)
2) go to "Anses" and apply for "CUIL" (bring "residencia temporaria" and passport)
3) go back to "oficina Migraciones" and apply for "DNI"
My question is about the timing for obtaining all these documents. Let say I go to Migraciones with all documents required as per step 1, how long does it take to receive temporary residency ("residencia temporaria")?
How long to get CUIL? Also, once obtained a CUIL, am I allowed to start working (legally) for the company or do I need to wait for DNI?
Hope someone in the forum has already been through all the process, and can give me some advice.
