How much more are you paying for your health (prepaga) insurance?

Resurrecting this thread. My sister in law has Sancor, but pricing has really gone up - $AR 900,000 for her and her teenage son. She’s now pricing out other options. For that price I think OSDE may be an alternative. Any other suggestions?
$900,000 pesos? That sounds like a USA price!

You can try with Medicus. I pay 375.000 pesos for Plan Celeste (1 person, 50+). There is also a more basic plan available.

I was not eligible for Medicare when I was in the USA, so I can only go by from what I had heard. From what I understand it is also difficult to find doctors that accept Medicare patients. Please do correct me if I am wrong. The prospects of having to move back to the USA, live in a van down by the river (rents are insane) just to have a chance of getting health services is not that appealing. Also not accepting the additional Parts B,C and or D initially will also mean having to wait for open enrollment (?) and paying a penalty rate. Reading Steve's post gives me a sliver of hope if I become a citizen. I do believe that any healthcare provider does their best regardless of facility or program that they work in.
You can find doctors in the USA who take Medicare, especially in major urban areas. Millions of people use the Medicare system. You should also look into Medicare Advantage plans

I understand the importance of being prepared for unexpected situations, so I have insurance that covers hospital stays and serious illnesses.
Could I ask what insurance this is? It sounds like the kind of thing I've been looking for – out of pocket for the small and medium things and insurance solely for the OMG's.

OMG. That really is a USA price!
OSDE 450 is the second-best plan, allowing cosmetic surgery every 2 years, among other things. We have OSDE 210 for two people at 511,014 Pesos from August.

Thanks. She was quoted a slightly higher amount for the 210 plan - $659000 - but perhaps that’s because she would be a new customer?

Ouch! That's 30% more  Is she going through a broker? There's a big OSDE office on Av. Juramento close to the Barrio Chino where you can just walk in and sign up, I think, they even have a lawyer on the premises if any declarations need to be made.
