I just compared prices.
The macbook pro costing 2200 ( plus taxes) in US is costing 2750 ( plus vat) in Chile.
And the one costing 1200 us$ in US is costing 1400 us$ in Chile.
Approximately 175 us$ extra ( in Chile) for every 1000 us$ ( in USA)
