How The Police Raided Bus No 10 This Morning Outside The Cf

I usually don't carry ID with me most of the time, either. But I know that the police has the right to ask for it - whether at a traffic stop or in the event of an incident. The fact that they take you home to look for it actually leaves me more at ease than if they hold you until until someone can bring it... which is what I thought could happen. :p

People who believe that the news reports everything are very naive. The news never reports everything - they pick a story here and there and take it to sensational levels, but you don't hear about most of the the things that go on.

As I pointed out, I don't find police asking for people on a bus to show their ID to be unusual. What I called suspect was that the OP stated what happened to each and every person on the bus, that he stated that everyone on the bus that didn't have ID was forced to go to the police station and interviewed or driven home in a police van and then everyone in the house was forced to show ID. My question was exactly how would the OP know what happened with each and every person.

And given that the post ended with "Hope this helps in showing us what lies ahead for us." - it's clear there was an agenda.

I don't believe the news reports everything. But in my experience, if a bus is robbed and 2 people are shot, especially in Capital, you're going to hear about it from more than just one poster on a forum.

Well I would tend to agree, my friend's husband was on the Pilar Express and 2 guys got on and robbed everyone on the bus, they had a gun and when someone resisted, the 2 guys beat him with the gun. I never heard a peep about it on the news and it's not like my friend's husband made up the story.

How long ago did that happen, Citygirl? It looks like things are spiralling downwards fast...

Farenheit - this was a few months ago, August or thereabouts. He never takes the bus, they both have cars but that day he happened to take the express. He told me he would never get on the bus again and he asked Vivi (my friend) to promise not to take it either.

He said 1 stayed by the driver and the other went down the aisle with gun collecting wallets and any visible jewelry/ipods/etc. He didn't even know until the one guy tried to resist and got hit over the head with the gun. They were through the bus really quickly and then jumped off at the next stop.

But that is diferent citygirl one think is a bus robery were no one has ben killed or shoted, and another is a bus were 2 person got shoted, is totally diferent for the newspaper and media in general, there is no way in my work they will let pass the second case, but the bus rob depend on if they have something more to report or not.

There's absolutely no sport in doing a 57 Express from Pilar It's like fishing in a bowl. No place to go, a narrow central aisle and most of the passengers are half asleep.
Shame on those criminals!

That is not likely to make the news since it is bad for business.
The 57 bus route is pretty much isolated during the whole trip unless there's an accident. The shuttle is a bubble.
The colectivo incident happened in the middle of the city, bystanders and traffic all around it.

This is getting confusing, we're arguing over the validity of a different "Bus Incident" thread on this Bus Incident thread. I'm wondering if the author of both threads is one and the same

You mean to say , I am and El Queso are the same person!

Wow man! you really have an imagination! Bravo!

Or better still, both me and El Queso work for the "same scriptwriter", who hands us over these scripts every now and then and asks us to propagate fear amongst the expats online?? Yes? :)

@CityGirl, I have been following yr posts on this forum for many years and I know for a fact that you are someone who has shared invaluable information on this forum . You are last person, whom I expect to make such a remark.

"Hope this helps in showing us what lies ahead for us"...is really meant to sound exactly what it says. Agenda or no agenda. As per me, We are all one here , in the same boat. If one foreigner is affected, so will be all eventually. Thats what I meant in short. No rocket science here.
