how to obtain permanent visa?

Hello,

I want to live and wordk in BA. How is the road map to a permanent visa?
 
The info about permanent visas in the link How to Enter and Stay in Argentina does not include the "fact" that it is "still possible" to be granted permanent residency on the third renewal of a visa rentista or pensionado. Work visas may also be eligible, but I'm not certain. Student visas cannot become permanent.
