Beware: You do have to activate the data pack to get that 1P/day instead of per mb.

I was using per mb for ages as I couldn't get it to enable. I tried the shops, no help, I tried the sim menu, no help.

Eventually I called up the options menu. Now, I can't remember what number it is to dial personal but there was an automated menu system and after a bit of guessing with the spanish and hearing something like "dia" and peso I managed to hit 1 to enable it.

Hopefully it's enabled by default on new sims now though

I believe that if your plan is eligible, just using internet will activate the internet for 1 peso for the rest of the day. Of course, total traffic is not unlimited nor is the fastest service, but will do for most basic things.
