Is any one else watching Glenn Beck on FOX?

I bet Glenn Beck is an alright guy in person. As most of us are, no matter which political philosophy we might lean toward, or even be rabid about.

Fox News has really good news that covers a lot of different topics, during the day time. Real news. I believe Fox is much more fair and balanced than the other mainstream media in their actual news shows.

In the evening Greta what's-her-name and O'Reilly are a definitely opinionated and give a more right-leaning spin on things, yes, but they're reasonably fair.

The shows like Glenn Beck (who I don't particularly care for, as far as his show goes - he's too much for me overall) and Hannity (who I think is nothing but an idiotic bulldog for the GOP and I can't stand to watch him) are opinion pieces.

They are show business. You really can't judge the news portion of Fox on those shows.

He is a royal jerk. He and Rush Limbaugh are entertainers trying to get market share.
They are both losing credibility fast. They have been divisive and are destroying the Republican Party. (not that I mind)

The part about them being entertainers trying to get market share, I absolutely agree with. What everyone sees on TV are their personalities. Because they're entertainers, I doubt that anyone who doesn't interact with them really knows if they're jerks or not, in person.

The terrible thing is that neither of them have much effect on the Republican party - the Republican party is tearing itself apart. Those two guys (and Shawn Hannity, the bulldog) are just cashing in on a segment of the Republican party and their shennanigans

[Fox is on DirecTV. With Cablevision-Multicanal (channel 609) you need to ask for the digital cable adapter box. It´s really worth it for an extra 15 pesos/month. You also get BBC, CNNI, Aljazera, NBA, etc.]

The guy is on a roll, and he´ll likely be a major reason for a reshuffle in the Congress-Senate with next year´s mid-term election.

Check him out tonite at 10pm local BA time.
(more later)

this punk is responsible for forcing one of my friends to resign from his post. I would rather watch Aljazera than Fox; its more respectable.

Respectability aside, there's more news content at "Aljazeera" or "Russia Today."

Even judged from the viewpoint of self-consistency or coherence, the likes of Beck, Hannity, and Limbaugh make no sense. Regardless of whether one agrees with them or not, what they say should at least be consistent or coherent. It's just bile and bilgewater.

I'd so like to hear why you think that Fox news is more fair and balanced.

FOX is not more fair and balanced. It is looking to increase market share and that is all about advertising. MSNBC is on the progressive side and FOX is on the conservative side.

So where is PJTV?

Since we are in Argentina, I suggest those who are interested in history watch the Glenn Beck program this Friday at 5 PM on Fox.

Especially if you wear a Che Guevara t-shirt. (or ever owned a poster)
