I do think you have to get out of the country every once in a while to appreciate it. I was last out in June 2015 which is far too long for me and has made me grumpy as the wife will testify. Ideally I would like go back to the UK at least twice a year to see family, do some fishing and hiking as well as shopping. That's my plan for the future anyway once commitments here become less. In fact if I get to do that I may even agree to stay here until I snuff it of old age.
